Apparently it's now acceptable to put famous people on trial when women accuse them of sexual assault, molesting etc., and even find them guilty if a jury is convinced of the evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. Even people who their audiences used to like by the millions.
Now that the dam has broken, who should be next? Can you think of any other famous people whom multiple women have publicly accused of sexual harassment, abuse, and even rape, decades ago, who have not yet stood trial? When will a jury get a chance to hear all the evidence and decide guilt or innocence, as a jury just did with Cosby?
NORRISTOWN, Pa. — Nearly 14 years after Bill Cosby drugged and molested a woman 30 years his junior, a jury found him guilty Thursday of all charges in his sex assault retrial.
The disgraced comedian showed no emotion and looked down at the table in front of him as the verdicts were read — which prompted some of his victims in the gallery to burst into tears.
The convicted pervert now faces up to 10 years behind bars on each of the three counts of aggravated indecent assault.
The reckoning comes following the disgraced comic’s second trial, and just over 14 hours of deliberations by a panel of five women and seven men.
I've been following this case. The statute of limitations applied to all of Cosby's victims, except one, Andrea Constand. The newly elected Montgomery County DA filed criminal charges against Cosby almost at the deadline, in December 2015.
I have mentioned it before, and shall again. On one of his earlier albums was a routine called "Spanish Fly" (concerning a legendary aphrodisiac that even I had heard of in the 1960s). In the bit he talks of how he (as a young teenager) and his friends sought this mysterious aphrodisiac that would make women amendable to one's desires.
Years later now, reading about Mr. Cosby's use of drugs to knock women out or otherwise render them helpless, that old routine takes on a very sinister meaning.
Edited to add: it is found on the album "Its true! Its True!" from 1969.
So you have to Drug a woman to rape her? Bill Clinton's victims are no less Credible than great Liberals like Harvey Weinstiens and Woody Allen. When I was a Democrat, a Liberal was someone who took the high road and helped the downtrodden. Now days Liberalism must mean you Rape and abuse the downtrodden Democrats = Fake Liberals.
Is it normal for an attorney and her clients to hold a press conference on the court steps after a conviction and literally scream, yell, and celebrate? Seems just a tad unprofessional and out of line if you ask me, but I haven't seen many scenarios like that on live TV before.
Sounds like the American public is finally making some progress against habitual sexual predators. Even the liberals haven't voiced a single objection to putting Bill Clinton on trial for sexual assault. They are apparently quite willing to get him into a courtroom, allow full discovery of evidence by both sides, bring out and describe that evidence in public, let lawyers from both sides cross-examine him, and finally let a jury decide if Slick Willie is guilty as charged.
This a huge change from the liberals' usual insistence that Clinton is not guilty, there's no evidence, and the rest of their vaporings.
It's a good day in America, at long last.
It will be an even better day in America when the right ceases insisting that Trump is not guilty, there's no evidence, and the rest of their vaporings.

Didn't he do a thing on Quaaludes as well?
