what exactly is "murky"? all the facts of his birth are well documented and have been confirmed by the hawaii department of health.

if it's simply the fact that he had a parent with foreign citizenship which makes it "murky" then you are mistaken. several candidates have had foreign parents. trump, cruz, nader, dukakis off the top of my head.

You see...a dog whistle is a signal that can be heard by the dog, but no one else.

Inasmuch as you can hear these whistles (as we know by your own acknowledgement of them), but nobody else does, we must conclude that you are the “dog” for whom they were intended (and a racist dog at that, if we are to carry the thought to its logical conclusion.) Because, as we can plainly see, none of the non-racist people on this thread heard the whistle, although you clearly hear them all the time.

Helpful hint: You may want to rethink your use of this idiom, now that you better understand it.
A triviality. ALL analogies break down at some point - including analogies inspiring you to "be strong" that compare life to war, boot camp, even rough contact sports.

But if you insist, "red meat", "code words", and "waving the bloody shirt" are good enough. Liberals and Conservatives can see those things equally well

Provide a shred of evidence the motivation for questioning his birth certificate was because he was black, and not misinformation provided by a third party associated with Obama himself:
From Wiki:
a promotional booklet that Obama's literary agency, Acton & Dystel, printed in 1991 (and later posted to their website, in a biography in place until April 2007) which misidentified Obama's birthplace and states that Obama was "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii." When this was posted by Breitbart, the booklet's editor said that this incorrect information had been her mistake, not based on anything provided to her agency by Obama.

Further confusion caused by him at various times in his childhood going by the last names of soetero or obama. Furthermore:

In October 2008, an NPR article referred to "Kenyan-born Sen. Barack Obama."[42] Also that month, anonymous e-mails circulated claiming that the Associated Press (AP) had reported Obama was "Kenyan-Born".[43] The claims were based on an AP story that had appeared five years earlier in a Kenyan publication, The Standard.[43][44] The rumor-checking website Snopes.com found that the headline and lead-in sentence describing Obama as born in Kenya and misspelling his first name had been added by the Kenyan newspaper,

The origins of the allegations were not due to racists but mistakes by others.
How long you gonna keep playing that lame race card?

the booklet, with error admitted to by mariam goderich, had been in absolute obscurity until discovered by breitbart in may 2012, 4 years after the start of birtherism. you'd need a time-machine to be able to cite this as one of the sources for the birther movement.

obama, while living with his step father, used his surname. he is the 3rd POTUS to do so. neither clinton or ford's citizenship were questioned. you're actually supporting my point with this fact.

the original AP story did not state that obama was born in kenya. this was added by the standard and they immediately corrected the error in the very next issue.

"racist" = meaningless term. Anyone who disagrees with the left is racist.

Trump is the 3rd black president after Bill Clinton and Obama.

Absolute obscurity? Your description. Prove someone didnt read it. Dont give us this time machine nonsense. It was in print long before the election.
And excuse me what do clinton and ford have to do with this? Did they run in 2008? Whats next you gonna say George Washington didnt have his birth certificate questioned so that proves obama was a victim of racism! None of the candidates who ran against obama in tbe 2008 election had a foreign born father, later lived in a foreign country under several different names, etc, EXCEPT BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. Which is a pretty damn weird and unamerican sounding name if you ask me.
Its politics. They thought they had something. Had nothing to do with race.

Whenever liberals whine about racism, it means they lost the argument. And that idiot Don Lemon proves once again that he got his journalism degree from the college of weekly world news..

you are literally asking for the impossible. exactly what do you expect me to show you as evidence that someone didn't read something?

i followed birtherism closely and can tell you the goderich blurb was never cited before it was discovered by breitbart. you could easily prove me wrong by showing just one time someone cited it as evidence to support birtherism before it was published by brietbart.

you cited obama using his step-father's surname as a reason to be suspect. both clinton and ford used their step-father's surname ( they eventually would legally change their names but not for many years ).

none of that rant would affect US citizenship.
