Now that it has been a year and a half, how many Democrats or Never Trumpers have actually seriously thought about or made plans to move. Whether it be out of the country or to a less trump friendly area? There seems to be a lot of hate towards Trump, the electoral college, 2nd amendment, etc - but I'm curious if people are really serious about leaving? Why or why not?

When Bush was elected 6000 moved to Canada. When Obama was elected 2500 moved back.

I'm sure those same 2500 are back in Canada now.

I don't think it's common, but I do actually know a family who pulled up stakes and moved to British Columbia. For real. To be clear, though, I do not believe they have taken steps to renounce their American citizenship. Their daughter is a graduate student there, and they have Canadian extended family members.

They're hypocrites that move to red states to lower their tax bills. Look at Amazon's actions when threatened with a tax to pay for the homelessness they caused in Seattle....typical.

I am still waiting for Limbaugh to act on his promise to move after the ACA was passed.

Yea that was funny, Hollywood hypocrites threatened to move as if their moving would move the needle. Of course they didn't budge and now suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome and complain about Trump making them pay more of their fair share in taxes because of their high SALT taxes.

Let's see, I live in a very blue city (so blue Trump only got 8% of the vote) two hours from Canada in a state with no income taxes and moderate property taxes. Why would I move?

Good question.

I wonder how many republican alt right people moved when Obama was president, seeing as the hate factor loomed large during Obama's tenure.

Actually instead of moving small business people invested minimally if at all and held back. We hated his policies because they hurt small businesses while big businesses and the rich flourished.
