Yeah if only Republicans controlled the city, then they could get rid of all of the crime with the great plan they have for it.... wait they don't have one. Just like with the national debt, immigration, and everything else.
The plan is arrest criminals and put them in jail. After they're found guilty.
The left is doing an excellent job of keeping their Democrat controlled cities safe.
I can understand why Chicago native Kanye West is now a conservative.
Then explain Seattle, which is as far left as you can get. It has a murder rate of 3.8 murders per 100,000. Explain Portland, Oregon, also a very left-leaning city. It has a murder rate of 4.2 murders per 100,000. Respectively, both cities have populations of 704,000 and 640,000 people. Both cities recorded 27 murders in 2017. Quite low for cities of that size.
And something else. No President has ever been able to get the murder rate down in that city.

48 people shot in Chicago and every body just shrugs. However, let one white person just SAY one slur and the media would riot over it.
I don't have to live in a murderous neighborhood. In fact, I don't. I don't live in the ghetto. Stuff like racism concerns me because it is stuff that I have to deal with in MY environment.
According to law enforcement, the majority of the guns used in these shootings are brought in from red states where access to purchase guns is much easier--mostly Indiana, Wisconsin and Mississippi. The guns are initially bought legally, then their way is made into the illegal gun selling market.

So, people lied to get guns? Funny, never would have through anyone would have done that.
You cannot buy a pistol in any other state but the state you live in, you can buy a pistol in another state, but have to have it shipped to an FFL....in your state....you can buy a long gun in a border state....but not a pistol....

Most people who talk about Chicago's gun violence are not from here, have never lived here and don't know what's going on, and also don't know these shootings are gang-related and are gang-on-gang (60% are gang or gang narcotics related) or domestic violence and confined to certain areas. Armed robbery is a small percentage.
Why are white people so concerned about the shootings in Chicago, especially when white people are the least affected by them? Are you concerned about the lives of these black youths or is this just a talking point to justify racism against blacks? When are all these people who love to bring up how horrible Chicago is going to come here to help out?

If the OP is talking about BLM, I agree with him. But the bolded line above is true.
Project H.O.O.D. is one that comes to mind but people haven't heard of it. Why is that? Why aren't they getting any press?
And to think gun control is going to stop crime in Chicago is naive - and I say this as someone who doesn't own a gun and think some gun owners are unhinged.

Im not sure I believe they are paying retail prices for guns and then selling them to criminals in another state, they would be LOOSING money if they did that! LOL No criminal is going to pay anywhere close to retail prices for a gun bought on the street.
Usually guns used in crimes were stolen from a legitimate owner and then resold.
