In the wake of that outrage, actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who stars alongside Pratt in Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" as a member of the Avengers, told press that he would no longer consider projects where he is paid more than his female co-stars.
“Equal pay and a place at the table are the central tenets of feminism,” Cumberbatch told Radio Times magazine. “Look at your quotas. Ask what women are being paid, and say: ‘If she’s not paid the same as the men, I’m not doing it.’”
Cumberbatch also pushed his new production company, SunnyMarch, which he says is a "female-focused" company: "I’m proud that Adam [Ackland] and I are the only men in our production company; our next project is a female story with a female lens about motherhood, in a time of environmental disaster. If it’s centered around my name, to get investors, then we can use that attention for a raft of female projects. Half the audience is female!”
Hopefully he is not expecting the average everyday man to do such a thing. Can’t see the average man not taking a job because some female worker negotiated badly or is in a lower paying position

Only in the world of progressive identity politics does this twisted logic make sense. People in entertainment are paid by the revenue they can generate. Male actors generally generate more revenue than female actors, thus they're paid more. Just like LeBron James earns more than whoever the top woman in the WNBA is.
Executive Producer: "Sure...I'll be more than happy to shave $2.5 million off your fee for making this movie, in keeping with your 'equal pay for women' philosophy. What a fool, but to each his own. If you're the bigger name and/or are a bigger driving force behind the movie, you deserve more pay, whether you're a man or woman.
everybody talks about equal pay for equal work, if it was true equal work than yes, but would a surgeon at a hospital be expected to be paid the same as a janitor at the same hospital. it all depends on the market bearable. so you have two people that are totally equal. maybe male, male, or male female, or female, female. doesnt really matter, they do the exact same job.
but one refuse to work weekend, nights, overtime. or have to take off twice a week early because of kids ball games.
would they be expected to get the same pay, while the other is working at 2am and works every weekend
