Thought of this awhile back, thought to express it out

5 living privileges

1. The life of anyone[Yes literally anyone] is still deemed as more valuable and important than even something as major as the air, our water or the outdoor world.

2. Earth revolves around the natural world

3. A person is more likely to value his dog than a random kitchen appliance[brings back up to point of number 1]

4. A person or even an animal, is more likely to be taken care of than a mechanic would seriously care for a car or etc.

5. Property damage vs cruelty. Theoretically speaking, a person getting slapped would grab more attention than a house catching fire

Update- Just thought of another one

6. There is more people against automation than there is up for automation
Yes, I know the list is very absurd. But even the concept of ''living privilege'' is mentioned in some other websites.

Living privilege leads to dead privilege. Once its alive it has to die because nothing lives forever. So the goal in the end is to honor dead privilege. Just the sort of thing we do when someone/something dies.
Living privilege isn't lasting. Dead privilege is. Bird in the hand and all.
If you want lasting privilege die and there you have it.

If you have living privilege and want to hang on to it, then run the gauntlet until the fatal blow. You may have to deliver lasting privilege to others along the way. Don't be timid about if it is your goal to preserve your desired living privilege.
Its your privilege to decide for yourself and not hand it over to others when avoidable. Call it a right to privilege but its a generational right and the only lasting living privilege but you can't have it forever. Its only on loan to you.

Thanks for posting this thread and giving me the privilege to respond.

Living privilege can be given away and nothing needs to die as a result. That's an import consideration to remember. Its been a privilege.

You folks need to check your 'existence privilege'. There is no bottom to this rabbit hole.

yes

Its privilege in transition and all of a sudden it arrives. Like privilege lost in the mail for years is delivered.
The spouse hands you a letter and says, open it up you old fart.

I don't understand this fight against automation. Automation is technology and innovation that we need to advance as a civilization. Would the anti-automation people have been opposed to factory assembly lines and other efficiencies decades and centuries ago? Its beyond stupid.

Excuses of the weak, uneducated, ill informed, lazy, and unaware of history. You are basically fighting to stay stagnant as a society. If we had it your way, some of us would still be slaving over anvils hammering away to make one fork every 5 hours.

I think the problem is that people are so radical, either no progress or as much as possible. Both is wrong in my view. We should be wise enough to realize when things are good enough.
