Jesus desires to give people mercy, but there's a condition that you conveniently left out: one must leave their life of sin.
John 8
[10] When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
[11] She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Who are we to judge God? Only God is God. If we could judge God then we would be God. God makes laws for us to obey. He punishes us when we don't. We can't judge His punishments, only accept them.
As for evil: God did not bring evil into the world, neither did He make it. It was made by Lucifer when he fell from Heaven and brought into the world through Woman. Since then evil has been in the world. Those who break God's laws commit evil: disobedience to God.
Well, you know how we are..always making excuses..
It irks me, what is going on with God these days. Instead of us being made in God's image, we are making Him in our image: easy going, likable, didn't shave today, wears shorts and a T-shirt.
We don't worship God because He is God. He is God because we worship Him and He has to market Himself to keep His worshipers.
I'm not religious so how people treat their relationship to God is a tangential interest of mine at most. But the inconsequence and vapidity with which those who claim to be religious treat this always surprises me.

Regardless if one is a believer or not this is significant because there is an indication that views on homosexuality are moving from the realm of tolerance to acceptance. His comment is a barometer that there is a shift in motion in the direction of acceptance.

It being belief and not established fact, people are absolutely free to question/judge what they choose to believe or not.
I have no doubt there are forces in the universe no mere mortal completely understands, that does not mean those who claim they do actually do.

And your proof it's actually God being the last to along with social change rather than those who profit by preaching God's alleged word and resisting change would be?
