Exactly, so why worry about several hundred black folks being murdered in a city where at least the rate is going down and isn't as bad as it was 20 years ago.
If this attitude is indicative of most black people that would explain a lot.
1) I don't think alot of people are worried outside of the people who live in those neighborhoods. I do notice many people who have a bone to pick with Chicago, with liberals, or with Blacks as a whole.
Despite the annual 3200 shootings in Chicago any and all acts to show that for the White House - the lives of these young men do matter
Will be interpreted as racist
Prior administration would not touch this one
There is a reason
Anyone that confronts a violent minor in or outside the school system will be thrown under the bus
Nothing going on in Chicago can be solved by soldiers. These problems go much deeper, and it isn't just Chicago. Nor is Chicago the worst case scenario. Memphis is a violent city and it has always been a violent city. St. Louis has been well known for organized crime and violence and things have gotten worse (and remained that way) since the 60s. While gangs play a big role in violent crime, there is something else many people need to understand. Alot of murders stem of from arguments. Many murders are a case of "he disrespected me or did something that made me angry, therefore, I'm murdering him". In short, many angry young men with trouble controlling that anger. A subculture and a mentality of "disrespect me and I'll kill you". You also have to consider how many men in the ghettos don't expect to live past 30, and therefore, don't mind killing someone else in the process.
