I remember hearing that trump wanted to send people to the moon again. Essentially trying to recapture the Apollo days. Are you for or against that?

i am for it. if we are going to go deeper into the solar system with manned space craft, then we need a base on the oon to make it easier to launch space craft for deep solar system missions.

Yes we should go to the moon again.

1.) We can build a space station their, assemble all of the materials needed to get to Mars. The fuel needed to make the journey will go much father when it does not have to exit earths atmosphere and gravity first.

2.) By building a habitable community in limited gravity of the moon, that would then help prepare the crew for the long journey under such harsh conditions.

Or as they indicated in the movie with Matt Damon "The Martian", multiple supply and replace parts should be sent to Mars long before people are sent there. That will increase the likelihood of the crew survivability.

I watched us land on the moon on my parents black and white tv as a kid. We thought by now we would be traveling not only to other planets but maybe to other star systems by now.

What happened along the way? How did we lose that vision? Seems all we are concerned with are events of 150 years ago and social justice.

Agreed. So much bickering between groups of people. I just drove past the SpaceX facility in L.A. One of the Falcon Heavy boosters is on display in front of the building. Kind of made me think. We haven't had a milestone in a long time. Aside from the rovers.

The only driving force seemed to be the Cold War unfortunately.

But glad to see private companies reaching for the stars. Hopefully that's the new space race. But really wanna see the OGs step up their game. I'm talking to you NASA..

It's sad that we reached the pinnacle of human reach over 50 years ago and never surpassed it. It's like inventing the cell phone in 1969 but using rotary phones today.

I agree with this.

Establish a base with far less gravity to overcome.

While I don' think it will happen in my lifetime, I think it's a logical step.
