So if you are terminally ill most Democrats want to restrict your ability to try new experimental drugs. Luckily the R's and Trump are in power and signed the bill into effect today..
There were a few decent Democrats who did the right thing and helped pass the bill. Very few
Is Trump hate the reason Democrats want to keep terminal ill patients from having any hope of recovery?
"Thousands of terminally ill Americans will finally have hope, and the fighting chance, and I think it's going to better than a chance, that they will be cured, they will be helped, and be able to be with their families for a long time, or maybe just for a longer time," Trump said at a bill signing ceremony at the White House, surrounded by terminally ill patients and their families.
Trump thanked lawmakers sitting in the audience who sponsored the bill, including Sen. Joe Donnelly, a vulnerable Democrat up for reelection in Indiana.
Many Dems also opposed the 2nd Chance Prison Bill giving people a 2nd chance after doing their time.
Just goes to show that no matter how good the Bill many Democrats will oppose it just because it's has Trumps name. I do believe they would oppose Abortion if Trump came out in favor.
Their Trump hate is bigger than their love for Americans.

It's all they have.
Who can forget all the Democrat legislators sitting on their hands and scowling during the SOTU Message, even when Trump was describing unemployment going down, wages going up, political prisoners being freed, international relations improving etc., while all the normal people in the hall were cheering and applauding with standing ovations?
All they can do is keep desperately pretending that whatever Trump is doing is bad, in hopes that someone somewhere still believes them.
It is STILL up to the drug companies. All that has happened with this bill is that the FDA has been dropped out of the loop. But the drug companies are the real stumbling block. Moreover, it does nothing regarding how insurance companies deal with this. For instance, if you take an unapproved drug the insurance company could now refuse to pay on an otherwise covered service such as hospice.
This bill is nothing more than PR. A real right to try bill would have addressed the current shortcomings.

The bill basically does nothing.
Its interesting to watch people try to argue that this is a "good" bill or changes anything.
The equivalent of telling a Bar they are legally able to sell you 20 beers, but are also legally liable if you die or hurt yourself after beer number 6.

Amazing how some people champion a bill that either did not read or did no research on the subject.
