I've been reading Game of Thrones for about a week, and was kind of upset to read that it went into graphic detail on the sex between a 13 year old girl and a 30 year old man. It's one thing to acknowledge that back in those times, certain things were normal, but it's another thing altogether to actually go into detail. What differentiates literature from pedophilia in this day and age? Back in the Archie Bunker days, it was nothing for him to say the "N" word on broadcast television, but today, that would be highly uncalled for, so why isn't GRR Marting not being called out for his questionable choice of content? Sure, it was normal back then, but so was taking a dump as well, but we don't need to read every agonizing moment of it. So when does it cross a forbidden line?

So don't read it.

Whatever you do, don't read the Greek Tragedies and Comedys. Or the Bible.

The entertainment industry can do no wrong. Listen to them, they know what’s good for us.

Much of it is based upon our actual history. Specifically the war of the roses in the mid 1400's.

A lot of people have criticized content in GOT. When the Lannister brother rapes his sister on their sons casket is right up there on unbelievable stuff. At least in the book it was consenting unlike the tv show.

It is all fantasy, but I do think they go too far sometimes. But I have the right to shut it off if I want to, but I still watch and read them. Say what you want about me, but they are some of the best novels I have read and the tv shows are some of the best every made.

This is true. Pretty Baby should have had every adult involved with that film thrown into prison.

So again, when does entertainment and literature cross the line like today's PC movement in regards to exploitation of children?

You have to remember this is a book for mature audiences which means it can include content like pedophilia or violence. The content may be graphic but he also isn't portraying it as a positive or acceptable behavior. If Game of Thrones was targeted toward a middle grade audience then people would be upset because it's exposing children to graphic content.

Where did the bad evil literature touch you? Did it harm you? No? Then it didnt cross the line. Look its within our laws-which laws would you like to change would be a better topic.
