Yes, it's a serious question because of your posts.
What is your serious question?

The AW ban wasn't actually a ban so exactly what purpose was it? It was shot down because it was stupid. So ya, the NRA does keep these frivolous laws off the books.

50% stupidity and 50% just spewing rhetoric they incorrectly learned elsewhere

Most gun control advocates are basing their arguments off of emotions and not facts. Nothing good ever happens when you fight for legislation based on emotions.

If we did... You'd have every democratic held city where the bulk of said "gun violence" occurs be raided by the military to seize firearms. Then you'd screech about being racist...

You may want to look at FBI UCR some time and see where exactly the specific locations are where so called "gun violence" occurs...

Or shall we layer another stupid law onto the existing ones we don't enforce. 80,000 felons (prohibited persons) try to buy a firearm every year and we prosecute about 4. I mean, come on man, we even have their addresses.

This is a very important shortcoming on the part of law enforcement. I'd say there are a few who don't actually understand that they are prohibited persons but, there are a lot of them who just go get their girlfriend/friend/etc to buy them a gun using a straw purchase, which is also a crime.

We really need to demand that law enforcement use the tools they currently have at their disposal to reduce crime in the US before we go about adding yet another law to the books. The fact that this law goes widely unenforced is insane. And to demand yet another law is equally absurd. Its like buying a new hammer when you have 3 others in your toolbox. It's pointless. Use the hammers you've already got before you go buy another one.

Firearms misused in homicides per FBI UCR in 2016-11,004.

Except, Joe Biden, aka Shotgun Joe, said to NRA's plea that "We don't have time for that."

You see the politicians, particularly the Democrats, aren't interested in solving problems.

Yes it is true and the "AR" in the AR15 stands for Armalite as well. Just like 'F' in F150 stands for Ford.
