Nobody is coming for your "guns" otherwise we wouldn't have more of them than actual Americans today....but let the right-wingers play on your fears just like the Libruls , Commies and Gays are going to take over "Muerica" too !
Sit down. Put a cold cloth on your forehead. Close your eyes. Now listen to David. They are not coming to get your guns. It will never happen. You can sleep peacefully.
My work here is done.
Shhhhhhh.........we want to keep them thinking they ARE coming. It's funny watching them get their panties in a wad over it.

As we were told, if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor..with no qualifications. In the same vein we are told you can keep your guns if you like your guns. So that means we can keep our guns if we jump through enough hoops set up to discourage gun ownership.
All the liberals rail against police brutality and now you hope that only cops have guns. A police state in the making.
Too bad the people who do most of the killing would be exempted.
Ah, the no guns, no gun violence academic theory! that's where you willingly sacrifice innocent lives today while accumulating ineffective firearm restrictions whose eventual summary adds up to no private gun ownership. The lives sacrificed along the way are deemed to be worth the effort to achieve that theoretical goal.
The world is a more tranquil place, it was a rouge IRS office in Cincinnati and ISIS is the jv team..... please tell us more bedtime stories! oh, you don't want to take our guns!!! Maybe the people who didn't have a problem being told, 'we have to pass it to find out what is in it' will believe you.
I cannot imagine a US where ALL firearms were confiscated. It certainly is not a goal for Democrats. There are lots of people (not just conservatives) who are hunters, and many who live in places where they feel they need some protection. Making REASONABLE gun regulation is not the same as confiscating all guns. People who think this will happen are just paranoid.
Our biggest defense against totalitarian, repressive government is not each of us standing at the ready with an armory of guns. Our best defense in the ballot box. When we protect everyone's right to vote, when we provide for a well educated, involved pubic, that will ensure our freedoms much more effectively than a load of automatic weapons.
Sorry, but your response is too rational and based too much on common sense, to penetrate the pointy little heads of the gun nuts. They need all their big guns, to offset their deep-seated feelings of inadequacy. People who are strong and self-confidant, need nothing other than their bare hands for protection.

Tell my 73 year old sister who has arthritis to defend herself with her bare hands.

They won't confiscate ALL firearms. Even the UK and Scandinavia don't go that far.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Norway . Footnote 4 from that page has an interesting article title: ^ "At the start of the new hunting year on 1 April 2008, 417,400 hunters were registered by the Norwegian Register of Hunters". Retrieved 10 October 2017.
Yet, Norway's still a democracy, representative republic, or whatever you want to call such a government. So I highly doubt that Washington DC's gonna send out the army and state NG's with sympathetic governors and start occupying the town square of every county seat and start acting like an occupying power. Nor is it likely that the criminals would simply take over society. If anything, the "occupying army" will take care of them anyway - especially with the US Constitution effectively (if not formally) abolished in your scary scenario.
Fortunately, the not-as-well-armed democracies around the world are all the proof you need that the US government's not gonna turn totalitarian, or even like 1970s-80s Chile or South Korea.
Dianne Feinstein, the senior Senator from California, who is leading the gun control push in the Senate said in a 1995 interview, after getting her assault weapons ban passed, “If I could have banned them all – ‘Mr. and Mrs. America turn in your guns’ – I would have!” NY Governor Andrew Cuomo
NY Governor Andrew Cuomo said in a radio interview in late December (audio below), “Confiscation could be an option…mandatory sale to the state could be an option.” San Diego Police Chief William Lansdowne
According to washingtonguardian.com, San Diego’s [police chief] Lansdowne, who plays an active role in the western region of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), said in the interview it may take a generation, but guns will eventually be taken off the streets through new laws. Former NY Mayor Ed Koch (deceased)
Former top Democratic mayor Ed Koch said he wants to ban all guns for everyone except law enforcement
Oh gawd........ not those cold dead hands again........
I know right? Their comedy writes itself!
Can't even deal with the most trivial of issues without their firearms.
You'd think that for such a bunch of self proclaimed badazzes, they'd have just a tad more self-respect.
Not a whole lot of respect for a bunch of Paul Blart disciples, who think waving a gun around makes you Judge Dredd
