But no one said to hire less qualified applicants.

Is there any proof that the new hires are less qualified? Is there anything to show that this guy is not just a disgruntled former employee or 'white right's activist?'

Anybody can file a lawsuit. Did he win?
If not, then nothing wrong was done.
If he won, then the policy will be changed, and again it will have no effect.

So what point is it that you think you are trying to make?

They assume if you are not white, you are automatically less qualified than your white competition. That's the basis of their argument, because of course, they can't prove that non-whites who land jobs over whites are less qualified.

Maybe they interviewed better. Maybe the have some quality or talent to offer that the white candidate didn't. Maybe they're a better fit with the company's culture. There are a myriad of reasons why one person might get a job over another applicant.

But nope, it's got to be because they're a person of color. That is the only possible reason.

That's how a racist's mind works.

Agreed. Ironically, I was against Affirmative Action and these types of hiring practices, because I thought racism was a thing of the past.

I have since learned it is definitely alive and well, so now I support efforts to continue diversification.

It kinda hurts my heart.

Please define "diversification" in this context and how we'll know when we have enough of it.

Apparently they brought diversity hiring into the FAA, and air traffic control jobs. They changed the test.

Liberals who fly might want to think twice about supporting this.

It's not racist to want the most qualified.

Did you know that there is a group of Asians suing Harvard?

Because of diversity and affirmative action, Asians are NOT getting into Harvard, even though they have met and exceeded the standards of admission. They are being passed over because of diversity and affirmative action.

Are Asians racist because they want to be represented by their ability and not passed over because they can't check off another box on the form?

Or can only white people be racist?

I want some who is qualified. Period. I don't care.

I don't want special treatment and I don't want anyone else to have special treatment either.

I don't believe that, and you can't go on an isolated cases here and there. Plus the Trump administration said there are jobs everywhere, that there are more jobs out there than people to fill them.

Trump is doing a pretty good job of that all by himself, in no way a uniter.
