So the researchers abandoned the standard accepted methodology to explore a different approach and found a result that was contrary to general consensus of most of the existing studies. Hold your applause. This is one study and I assume there will be further debate.
“Conclusion
At the national level, we find little evidence within these data for systematic anti-Black disparity in fatal police deadly force deci- sions. We do not discount the role race may play in individual police shootings; yet to draw on bias as the sole reason for population-level disparities is unfounded when considering the benchmarks presented here. We hope this research demonstrates the importance of unpacking the underlying assumptions inher- ent to using benchmarks to test for outcome disparities.”
Post one incident where a white Caucasian American , that is unarmed , is shot by a sworn law enforcement officer.
That part of link do you not understand? This thread is a partial cut of a supposed study with no link to that study. Is that your idea of critical thinking? Forget what your opinion is on this issue. The thread is horrible.
The thread quality is irrelevant to your attempt to dismiss the claim by using an unreputable source to discredit the person in the link.
It must be for ideological reasons, as we both know the false narrative is just made up by leftists who try to drive a wedge between different groups for cynical political reasons.
Regardless, the overall point is that according to Obama's DOJ, the genocide against blacks by police is a false narrative, or as Trump likes to call it, "fake news".

It is quite relevant. a snippet from a supposed studt but no link. That is proof of nothing. That and it comes from a white nationalist suggests bias. You stating otherwise is not proof of your position,.

Not that I think you have any actual interest in understanding the topic, but there's a bit more info here:
The lead authors of the study are a psychologist from Michigan State and a criminologist from Arizona State, both with an impressive number of publications and citations.

I graduated there in 5/2013 with a Bach. of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology.
Sorry that it took so long to get back to this thread , but you have to be out of your mind if you are comparing this shooting to the other African American shootings of Unarmed AA Men.
This caucasian American brought a scoped rifle " a pellet gun replica scope rifle" and was pointing it out of a fifth floor hotel room. So of course when other Hotel guests saw this they alerted the hotel who called the police. The police naturally thought that he was a hitman or at the very least a mass shooter.
The sad thing about this whole ordeal was that this young man was sort of like a naive idiot playing around with a pellet rifle that look real and genuine.
The sergeant that was the commanding officer on scene was sort of incompetent barking out orders like a boot camp drill instructor. I am a Veterans of two different military services , and I've gone through two boot camps and I have seen this before , where some guys are so terrified that they can't even follow direct orders or directions.
His wife followed all instructions and was arrested without a hitch . However he crawled down the hallway making mistakes not following directions begging and crying for them to save his life. And ultimately end up being shot because he could not follow orders and was playing with a rifle with a scope that looked like a real rifle.
I think that the sergeant and the officer that actually fired the five rounds into his body were wimps and bullies he really wasn't a threat to anybody with 3 to 4 AR-15 pointed at him. The cops could have lit up any criminal trying to pulled a gun from his waistband with those assault rifles.
At the end of the day the police department knew that they was in the hot water , so they early retired the sergeant on scene (and threw the police officer ) that pulled the trigger and fired the five rounds to the wolves.
For a jury to decide and of course they said he was innocent..... because you cannot find a civilian that want to do his job.....

He had something that looked like a gun in the room, but not with him in the hallway. He was indeed unarmed and trying to follow the officer's raving, nonsensical demands. He was told to put his hands on his head, cross his feet and crawl down the hallway. In complete terror, with the officers threatening to kill him, he tried to comply. His pants started to fall down. He reached to pull them up and was executed.
