Answering the poll "correctly" is easy if one pays attention to the wording of the question and remembers the poll is put forth by the Pew Research Center.

It's not a poll it's a quiz.

Polls are opinions, quizzes are facts

10 of 10.

Not hard to separate opinion from fact. Not for me anyway.

I do not care about the Obama birth certificate, the illegal immigrants or ISIS.

What scares me is this one:

Spending on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid make up the largest portion of the U.S. federal budget.

Only 57% responded that this is fact.

% in each party who classified it correctly:
Republicans: 63%
Democrats: 54%
Independents: 61%

No wonder we get endless budget deficits.

No, a fact can not be an opinion.

If someone says Trump is the best President ever it's an opinion.

If someone says Trump is the worst President ever it's an opinion.

Get it? Just because you believe something to be true does not make it a fact.

The sky is blue is a fact, not an opinion, birds can fly is a fact not an opinion, get it?

The Pew webpage states:
See below how your results for the factual and opinion statements compared with the 5,035 randomly sampled adults that took part in our national survey

Is a survey a poll or a quiz?

Doctors said smoking was good for you, that is an opinion they had, they were paid by cigarette companies to say that.

Smoking is bad for you because it can cause cancer, that is a fact.

Just because you don't personally believe something to be true does not mean it's an opinion.

I guess the next time I take time to answer a telemarketer's SURVEY, I'll have to remember that it is a QUIZ with right and wrong answers.
