The original report on the nuclear site came from an NBC news report that no longer exists. It appears to have been taken down after it was noted that the reporter Ken Dilanian had previously been outed as a CIA asset by The Intercept.
The people that do "this for a living" have a vested interest in providing information that keeps them employed. They often remain nameless sources so they can't answer to the claims they make.

That same history would tell you that anything the Kims say should be taken with a shaker of salt, and that their word isn't all that trustworthy.
