Sessions and his Department of Justice have announced that they will charge 601 people, including those in the medical field, for their part in the opioid addiction facing our country today.

Officials sought in the latest crackdown to emphasize their efforts to combat the nation’s opioid epidemic. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the epidemic caused more than 42,000 deaths from opioid overdoses in the United States in 2016.

Going after the problems in the USA and those perpetuating it.

I don’t blame doctors. It’s ironic that the government wants to thow doctors in jail for a mess it created. Governments have forced doctors to make pain a “vital sign” and ensure that patients are pain free all the time. It also gauges their pay on patient satisfaction scores. The only way to make people 100 percent pain free and completely happy is to give them heavy drugs.

Opiod addiction is just part of these arrests, most were for insurance fraud.

"The charges announced today aggressively target schemes billing Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE (a health insurance program for members and veterans of the armed forces and their families), and private insurance companies for medically unnecessary prescription drugs and compounded medications that often were never even purchased and/or distributed to beneficiaries. The charges also involve individuals contributing to the opioid epidemic, with a particular focus on medical professionals involved in the unlawful distribution of opioids and other prescription narcotics,

If they are guilty or not guilty they will get their day in court to defend themselves.

If the left doesn't do away with the court system before that day arrives.

It's the 80s all over again, except instead of poor blacks getting hooked on CIA crack it's poor whites getting hooked on CIA opioids.

Doctors are massively to blame.

Have you ever gone to get your car repaired, and you know what the problem is, and the auto shop comes back with this long estimate of all these problems your car supposedly has, but in many cases actually doesn't?

Do you know which profession is the absolute worst about pulling this kind of crap in our society? It is medical doctors.

Medical doctors are no more trustworthy than other people and we have been gouged for hundreds of billions, if not trillions of dollars as a result of their tendency to over-prescribe drugs, tests and treatments.

This opiod situation is just one example of that among many, albeit this is a particularly eggregios example. They should certainly be charged.
