That Fox News article treating the SPLC as an authority is from 2013. Since then the SPLC has been pretty thoroughly discredited in mainstream media exposes, even some done by left leaning organizations. At this point FAIR is more reputable than the SPLC.

Cato is hardly a disinterested source of information about immigration.

Any data specific to illegal aliens? Legal immigrants are not the topic of discussion.

Antifa is not "my" anything, any more than hard core white supremacists are representative of the GOP. Stop with the bullcrap.

I love when folks think one think is the same exact thing as a totally different thing. Both sides do it. First, very few people in the grand scheme of things actually want to abolish ICE. That's one of those things where the right wing is painting the left wing with a big old broad brush because it fits their narrative better.

A majority of liberals and nearly half of all Democrats say they support #AbolishIce.
Quote:
a new poll this week found that a majority of liberals support abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, otherwise known as ICE.
The survey from YouGov asked: "Do you support or oppose abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and replacing it with a different agency?"
Fifty-four percent of liberals supported to some degree abolishing ICE—34 percent strongly, 20 percent somewhat. Twenty-four percent opposed. Among Democrats—a group that is different than liberals, it is worth noting—46 percent supported abolishing ICE (25 percent strongly, 21 percent somewhat.) Twenty-seven percent opposed.

Newsweek
and explaining yet again that abolishing ICE and replacing with a different agency isn't the same as getting rid of immigration laws.

As a matter of fact, it's right there in your link. Hard to understand how you missed it

Nearly half of liberals and more than a third of all Democrats, when given a choice between "open borders" and "secure borders", choose the former. A June 2018 Harris Poll asked, "Do you think we should have basically open borders or do we need secure borders? 24% of all respondents answered for open borders, including 36% of Democrats and 46% of self-identified liberals. So I would not be at all surprised if more than half of Dem Party activists, who tend to be liberal or radical, are in the open borders camp now.
