Captain of Industry who creatively destroyed GE over his 20 years as CEO. Wrote the book on how to make underlings so miserable they'd quit so he could bring in new people to wear out until they quit.

Took GE to unimagined heights of success until it all collapsed several years ago under his successor.

Something you, and very few get and was noted about Trump decades ago is that he thrives on chaos. Most people look at chaos and say, "Omigod, we have to fix this". Trump looks at chaos and says, "Hmm, this is interesting".

Welch and Trump were contemporaries as industrial/business leaders in the 1980s and 90s.

Obama:

January 23, 2009

The top congressional leaders from both parties gathered at the White House for a working discussion over the shape and size of President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus plan. The meeting was designed to promote bipartisanship.

But Obama showed that in an ideological debate, he’s not averse to using a jab.

Challenged by one Republican senator over the contents of the package, the new president, according to participants, replied: “I won.”

Later in his presidency, he repeated the same statement, as he continued to stick his thumb in the eye of republicans

October 25, 2010

House Republican Whip Eric Cantor gave President Obama a list of modest proposals for the bill. Obama said he would consider the GOP ideas, but told the assembled Republicans that "elections have consequences" and "I won."

Compare Obama's actions to what we have now. There is no real comparison: no insults, no calling names, no lying, etc, etc, etc.

The question is worded wrong. Liberals are not happy with anything. But it may be equally correct to say that unhappy people are more likely to adopt leftist positions. For example...

Take black Americans, it makes sense that a black American who is essentially happy is going to be less attracted to the Left. Anyone who has interacted with black conservatives rarely encounters an angry, unhappy person. Why?

Because the liberal view on race is that America is a racist society. Therefore, for all intents and purposes, a black American must abandon liberalism in order to be a happy individual. It is very hard, if not impossible, to be a happy person while believing that society is out to hurt you. So, the unhappy black person will gravitate to liberalism and liberalism will in turn make him more unhappy by reinforcing his view that he is a victim.

Trump could not do anything to change the mindset of people who think they are victims.

Even if Trump decides to give out green cards to all seekers won't be enough for the left. They still can't get over defeat. So screw them. In life you learn from your loss and move on. I don't think Hillary Clinton learned from her losses. She was way overly confident that her connections to the DNC and her party would put her over the top.

Obama's campaign showed that you have to run campaigns that connects with people. She decides to skip cities that she thinks would vote for her regardless so she can save and pocket the campaign money. Trump is a hard worker and his hard work paid dividends.

I don't know Our Dear Leader seems to have quite a base of supporters who consider themselves victims.

The attitude conservatives have about problems is different? Conservatives generally believe in making a better world, but they have very little faith that the gov't can make things better; they don’t believe you can make utopia.

Charity? It’s a good thing and something that we should do, but it’s not owed to you. In other words, everybody has problems, but it’s your job to take care of YOUR problems. Are we all in this together? Sure, in a broad “We wish all fellow Americans well and will do what we can to help and to create an atmosphere where they can succeed” sort of way, but if you fail or succeed at life, that’s on you as an individual.
