Is anyone impressed with NY Gov. Cuomo'S POLITICAL STUNT to sue the SCOTUS over Roe v Wade.

The man is needing some attention it seems.
Is demonstrating he is an idiot the best way to get it ?

“Did he really say that? Whom would he sue, and where would he find a court able to overrule the SCOTUS.

He must have slept through his law school classes in addition to sleeping through any Civics or Political Science classes. If, and it is a humongous if, the Supreme Court were to overturn Roe v Wade it won’t outlaw abortion, it will just return the issue to state laws. If he could find a mechanism to sue the Supreme Court, and that from everything I understand is an impossible if, he would not have standing to sue because the citizens in his state would not be impacted.

Well said.

It looks like he is taking any hot button issue that gets some attention to see if he can capture some of the attention for himself. He doesn't seem to put much thought into his solution on this issue.
Desperation !!!

The Cuomo administration is on its last legs. with nearly 20% of American women saying that they are feminists. A great deal of feminist live in NYS, mainly in the downstate area. Thanks to the metoo movement, feminists are trying to take over NYS and NYC politics. Case in point Cynthia Nixon and Alexandria Ocasio. In NYS women control the vote since women outnumber men here as well women control the jobs. If Cuomo sides on women issues, this might give him a leg up at the ballot box. Overall, feminist see through Cuomo, and most likely will not vote for him. Cuomo is done. I'm not even voting for him due to this corporatist leanings.

I'm not impressed.

How can you sue someone for something that hasn't been done?

Is the Loony Left gearing up in case Trumps stacked Supreme court should reconsider abortion rights? That is highly unlikely to happen.

It sounds like Cuomo has a bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome and he has bought into all the negative hype from his party.

These people are idiots.

That scumbag loud mouth deserves impeachment.
Along with thorough investigation into fraud.

I don't want to hear ANY New Yorker complain about Trump going to Mar-A-Lago. Cuomo does not reside in the governors mansion. He never has. Yet pizzes away hundreds of thousands of NY tax payer dollars to maintain it and refurbish/remodel/use as a banquet hall.

NY deserves far better than cuomo.

No. But I am interested to see the legal reasoning behind it and why he (or the NYAG) thinks they have a viable case.

Judges are immune from suit for their conduct in a court room. That’s law school 101 and makes sense to just about everybody who can think.

The only way for him to get to SCOTUS is to work his way up the ladder.
