Trump disrespects Queen Elizabeth. He did not bow, he walked in front of her. A diplomatic faux pas.

... but salutes a North Korean general

Trump clearly has disdain for liberal Western democracies (snubbing or insulting UK, Germany and Canada) and prefers to hang around with dictators (Putin, Kim Jong Un).

When the free world sees Trump they

Listen. It's been explained ad nauseum in the already-existing thread that it goes against protocol for an American leader to bow before a foreign royal. We're American. We do not have royalty. We bow for no one.

So thrash away with your TDS symptoms, but for pete's sake, at least take the time to learn a thing or two.

The left has become the party of "tattletales". Maybe if they ever come up with a viable candidate their slogan can be ...."IT" ( I am telling).
Bwahahahahahaha!

Incorrect. Trump is not required to make a small bow to the Queen, it is optional. Walking in front of the Queen is a violation of diplomacy 101 and is rude to the hosts. When you are at your friend's house do you put your feet up on the furniture?

He's got a pattern of snubbing, lying to, and insulting the leaders of western democracies. He's also got a pattern of backslapping and kissing up to dictators.

They go off half-cocked at the slightest misstep of POTUS and then proceed to "educate" everyone else on the given topic, even when they demonstrate a glaring shortage of personal knowledge. Like our OP here.

Even Miss Manners says "f*ck no us Americans don't bow before anyone". (I'm paraphrasing a bit). lol.

DEAR MISS MANNERS: As an American, if I meet the Queen of England, am I required to bow to her?

GENTLE READER: Where were you during history class?

Never mind. Here is what you missed:

We Americans fought a revolution against the British crown. As Miss Manners trusts that you will be relieved to hear, we won. Therefore, we do not prostrate ourselves before someone who is not our sovereign — just as the British bow to no sovereign but their own.

But we do not even bow to our own leaders. Although we believe that all human beings are worthy of respect, we do not believe that any one of them is born at a higher level than the rest of us.

Therefore, we perform the symbolic gesture of bending our knees in subservience only to the Almighty. That, Miss Manners supposes, is why debutantes curtsy to Society.

exactly right, our leaders dont bow to others, just because obama had a supple spine and love to use it, doesnt mean all our leaders have to do the same thing.

as for saluting an NK general, that my friend is military courtesy. the general saluted first, trump was acknowledging the salute with one of this own. remember trump IS commander in chief of the US military. if anyone broke protocol in that situation it was the NK general by saluting a foreign leader. he should have just snapped to attention, like all military people are trained to do when foreign leaders walk by, and then he should have shook trumps hand since it was offered. instead the general chose to salute trump, trump had to return that salute.
