You really think he misspoke and it took him a whole day to sort it out?

LOL.

IMO, he is showing signs of dementia. Videos of him in his younger days show a much more articulate person.
Agreed.

I did not like him back then, either, but he seemed mentally sound.

This.

They have an actual method of issuing a correction.

Our national embarrassment is doing what he does best - being the worst president ever. He only walked it back because he was forced to. What I will never understand is why the Republicans in power are letting him get away with all of it. You can't put a necktie on a turd and pretend everything is okay. The turd is still a turd, and it still stinks.

You need to read some history. Trump is garbage, but he's not the worst. The bottom six, in order from the very bottom:

Wilson
Lincoln
LBJ
FDR
Dubya
Truman

The Republicans forced him to lie about using the wrong word so they could go back to doing nothing. They didn't want to have a crisis on their hands so they forced him to lie about using the wrong word. Now they can act like everything is OK. They don't want to do their jobs. They want to pretend like they are doing their jobs. They chose party over country. Vote all Republicans out of office in November. They are playing dumb, acting like everything's ok now that Trump clarified the words.

Sounds about right. But, how unfortunate for them because we are not all idiot Trump cultists. The sane people of the world know the idiot Trump was practically a dim-witted hostage reading that ridiculousness today.

And replace them with what? Republicans and Democrats are 99.9999% identical.

A better idea is to not vote.

If he met with Putin and he was friendly with him he is conspiring to take over the planet as part of an axis of evil with the US, Russia and North Korea.

If he had met with Putin and was angry, demanding and challenging to Putin over this whole election meddling then the press would have been condemning him for baiting Putin into a possible war.

I think Trump should go back to the White House and just hang out for awhile and not say or do anything but then again Bush tried that and the media attacked him for it.
The guy can't win? He's nothing but a spin doctor and gaslighter. Got caught in his own web and had to come up with something quick! How can everyone not see what he does?
