It dedicated a full page to disclosing the potentially biased motivation behind the Steele Dossier. Even if the Judges couldn’t read beteeen the lines and figure out it meant the DNC and anti-Trump Republicans, you’re drawing a distinction without a difference because it alerted the judge to the potential for bias so the judge could take it into account
And how many Judges was this shopped to before it was granted as well has how many times was it flat turned down...
I don’t think it was ever shopped around. Do you have proof of that?
It was approved by nearly half of the 11 judges sitting on the FISA court... doesn’t sound like shopping around to me.
So, what one does is shop it around and if one gets denied you pull stuff out until someone buys the B.S. and issues the warrant.
This is not a new or novel thing when it comes to warrants and/or Judge shopping...
Quote:
The Guardian has learned that the FBI applied for a warrant from the foreign intelligence surveillance (Fisa) court over the summer in order to monitor four members of the Trump team suspected of irregular contacts with Russian officials. The Fisa court turned down the application asking FBI counter-intelligence investigators to narrow its focus. According to one report, the FBI was finally granted a warrant in October, but that has not been confirmed, and it is not clear whether any warrant led to a full investigation.

That doesn't come close to proving your statement of "shopping around until you get approval".
Try harder.
IF anything it shows even more so that FISA court had a rigorous approval process; forcing FBI to narrow scope of its investigation and preventing any "fishing expeditions" too broadly focused.

Exactly. This proves the opposite of what the poster was trying to prove by showing that FISA applications are carefully reviewed and the FISA warrants are narrowly tailored. It also does not identify the Judge or claim that the Judge that the FBI has their request approved by a different judge. It very well might be that the warrant was approved by the same judge who initially denied it - eg the converse of “shopping around”.
