The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved puberty blockers in 1993. They were originally approved to temporarily stop puberty in children who were going through it too early. Your information sources are STILL lying to you.

There are other medications out there but they work the same way and have the same dangers. As for your list of things that a doctor is supposed to follow before prescribing this, I have my doubts as to whether most are actually following that.
Surely, you are aware that to begin using pubertal blockers, a child must:
Show a long-lasting and intense pattern of gender nonconformity or gender dysphoria
Have gender dysphoria that began or worsened at the start of puberty
Address any psychological, medical or social problems that could interfere with treatment
Have entered the early stage of puberty
Provide informed consent

It's pretty common now for kids to start blockers before puberty enters the picture. It's also pretty common to start cross sex hormones shortly after an initial meeting with a "gender specialist". Treating OTHER issues is rarely done, many autistic kids are being treated for gender confusion and not autism. These adults are telling these children that they can magically change their sex. They think if a boy wants to be a girl, he will grow a vagina and be a real girl. The kids don't know what's going on. They grew up in grade school with Billy, and suddenly Billy is a 5th grader and now he wears a dress and is called a girl. These people are sick.
Human beings are a sexually dimorphic species, consisting of males and females. Humans are not a monomorphic species. A woman is an adult human female, and a man is an adult human male. Little boys cannot magically become girls, just by saying it out loud.
