This is what Trump supporters actually believe. Did you miss the bit where he's handing out 12 billion of your money and mine to help out the farmers who've been locked out of ther markets due to his ill-considered trade war?
In the second quarter, the U.S. recorded an 80% annualized jump in food, feed and beverage exports, mainly from soybeans and corn. Without that surge, exports would have increased 5.3% instead of 9.3%, which means the GDP growth would have been around 3.6%, according to Paul Ashworth, the chief U.S. economist at Capital Economics.
David Rosenberg, the chief economist of Gluskin Sheff, argues trade disputes may play an even bigger role in inflating GDP. “At least half the growth is coming from two trade-related issues — a soybean-led export burst and inventory accumulation. Net these out and we remain near 2%”, he tweeted on Thursday.

Only one year in. Obama had been shrinking deficit spending in his final years. trump right out the gate has increased deficit spending. Not very fiscally responsible.
Obama answers - I've created the most manufacturing jobs since the 90s. Some jobs are going overseas because their environmental standards are lower (implying less regulations, less cost). Automation is happening. We will provide training for new jobs. Old jobs aren't coming back. Grow clean energy and new technology.
What Trump did - he has got people working again. He is making deals to help American workers. He is waving his magic wand. Result - unemployment down, people re-entering job force, GDP is up.
Obama was right many jobs are not coming back old jobs aren’t coming back it’s crazy too assume they ever were. Trump, hasn’t done a damn thing admit it the companies that moved overseas are still there and are going to stay. Trump, lied saying he would bring back coal jobs, etc. Clean energy new technologies are the way to go Trump and his supporters seem to have a problem understanding this.
