So far, however, Mr Trump’s broadsides have failed to dent faith in his targets. On behalf of The Economist, during the past three years YouGov, a pollster, has asked a representative sample of Americans to rate large American news organisations on a scale from “very trustworthy” to “very untrustworthy”. (We calculate net trustworthiness on a scale of -100 to 100 from a weighted average of “very trustworthy” (100), “trustworthy” (50), “neither trustworthy or untrustworthy” (0), “untrustworthy” (-50) and “very untrustworthy” (-100).) From October 15th 2016, shortly before he was elected, to this month, confidence in Mr Trump’s two most frequently targeted newspapers, the New York Times and Washington Post, has actually grown. During the same period, trust in two media outlets that offer him reliably fawning coverage, Fox News and Breitbart, has withered.
I looked at that chart--
And I am anti-Trump all the way so I don't believe his diatribes against "faux" news
But the sample was 1500 people
That is not a big pool of respondents
And there was nothing on the chart itself to say what geo-locations they came from
So while I would love to believe it, I don't know that you can take it as a "representative sample"
Look at factors like advertising rates/income and viewer numbers at sources like Breitbart, FoxNews, CNN, MSNBC and I think we get better idea of how many people are supporting those differing platforms
One of the problems with getting insight into Trump's support is that IMO many of his supporters don't/won't reply honestly to any polling out reaches and the other is that so much of what they listen to comes via forums like conspiracy threads, Internet radio hosts, and small/independent "news" channels that are not major market...
I just don't think there is way to tell how many people believe Trump because they KNOW they are a suspect interest group---they KNOW they are considered outliers and thus really don't show their true colors if there is chance they are in mixed company...
I keep hearing hard-core Trump supporters are 25-30% of overall population and I hope that is accurate or that it is even lower--
But I think it is very difficult to get accurate numbers
Seriously? When I see "Dem lawmaker predicts ..." and Wolf(man) Blitzer's mug, I know it's propaganda.
Democrats still trying to make more out of this than what's actually there. This is their only defense against Hillary's collusion with Russian agents to produce a phony "dossier," which they paid for. But the President's son didn't ask to meet with anyone. They contacted him, and he said (basically), "OK, what've you got?" It turned out to be a big nothing, and he walked away. That's it. End of story.
I'm surprised that 'Michael Steele' is a Russian name. Doesn't sound like it.
Ah, no, that's not the end of the story. There's a little matter of lying to the investigation...that's a felony offense.
Now Ivanka is another story. Trump would pardon her in a heartbeat. No question about that.
But Don Jr.?
We'll see.
Eric better hope he's not caught up in any of Trump's nefarious schemes.
Whoo boy. You are right. And Tiffany? LOL. He would throw her under the bus so fast.

But Clinton paying to have a fake "dossier" produced, and then using that fake "dossier," that she paid for, to obtain FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign, goes way beyond opposition research.
Donald Jr. committed no crime in meeting with this Russian lawyer. What was the crime? No "conspiracy" involved. No crime.
Yes - conspiring with a foreign government to intervene in our election is a crime.
Just because it didn't work OUT - doesn't mean it wasn't a crime.
It seems Ivanka and Melania are breaking ranks with Trump. I bet he is furious.
Are you sure? I watched an interview with Ivanka the other day, and that woman is one cold fish. Every time she tries to act like a real human with real feelings she fails miserably. She's as wooden as Pinocchio. The entire family has ice water running through their veins. I don't know if sociopathy is genetic, but it sure looks that way with the Trumps. Every action they take directly relates to furthering their own agenda.
