Anyone here believe he'll still be AG at the end of the year? Looks like Sen Graham provided Trump with political cover:

I think Trump will have to fire both Rosenstein and Sessions, since if Sessions goes Rosenstein will be acting AG. My guess is November of this year both will go. This means the Mueller investigation will be run by a new AG and probably wrapped up shortly after the new AG takes office.

This is all theater for the distraction...

Sessions would be gone long ago, if Trump was really fed up with him.

I think the train has already left the station for Trump to fire Sessions or Rosenstein. If he does it now, his days in the White House are numbered. I think Trump can still survive this, but if he fires those two, I think even the Republican Congress will have had enough. That's my opinion anyway

I wouldn't be sure of that at all, at least when it comes to Sessions. The guy has a real ability to survive, and he's a lot hardier than he appears.

Others may go, but I'm sure Sessions will only leave when Jeff decides it's time. Even if Pence was to take over the White House, I'm pretty sure Sessions will remain in place as the AG.

I agree. A lot of Republicans will be gone after the midterms.

Who would replace Sessions?
Some blatant Trump toadie, with loyalty to Trump not the Constitution, and with a directive to shut down all investigations into Trump?
AG has to be confirmed by the Senate.
