He will not pardon Cohen. He will pardon Manafort and it will be further proof that Trump has no respect for the rule of US law in that he thinks he and his associates are above it.
My exact thoughts. Manafort has demonstrated “loyalty”, Cohen hasn’t. But Trump only has a limited amount of time to paradon Manafort; his second trial in DC where additional charges may be unsealed, and three times as much evidence exists, starts next month.
If Trump thinks it will save his hide, keep dreaming, you can bet he will pardon both of them in a heartbeat. Things might get a bit loud.
He absolutely should, given this witch hunt. That's his prerogative and you can't do a thing about it. Who cares how loud you get? Get loud. We'll patiently watch you be the destructive little gremlins that you are. Its nothing new. You've already exhausted the nation on that front. We won't and can't be intimidated by your thugs.

Your moral pretensions don't mean a thing on the back of an investigation that was founded on DNC paid-for Kremlin fairy tales.

And if Trump did that...IF he does it, how would it be any different than the hundreds of criminals Obama pardoned?
Manafort was found guilty of 8 out of 18 charges, and still faces another trial or two.
So Trump has some problems with pardoning him. If he moves too fast, Manafort could still go to trial on the other charges, because a pardon wouldn't pre-exempt him in them. So, facing even more prison time, Manafort could roll over at last before he goes into the second trial.
Meanwhile, Cohen pled guilty to 8 charges, but he didn't escape conviction either. He may have just escaped imprisonment.
So does Trump pardon a guilty man who's still walking the streets?
If Trump pardons either one, will the pardons bring him impeachment? Probably not until the election is over, but that could happen afterwards.
