I’ve seen so much criticism and attacks of South Africa’s government from right wing media and YouTube channels lately and I don’t get the obsession. Could someone really explain this to me? There’s a lot of misinformation about genocide going on but no evidence. They also don’t talk about the plight of the black majority even though they’re poorer and are more victimized by crime.

Your post is just more of the "whatever happens to White people is irrelevant" racist garbage. Whereas if a Black school child stubbed his toe on a White person's mailbox you'd be up in arms.
First, the ANC are communists. No one should be questioning why anyone is against a communist government. They are historical mass murderers.
Second, in addition, the ANC is sitting on left-over fissionable weapons grade nuclear material that they refuse to give up and have no idea how to use nor protect properly. Its an international security issue of great importance. Until they give it up, they need to be criticized with an eye toward regime change.
Third, the ANC is in the process of dispossessing farmers of their land by force. That's an international concern.
Fourth, White farmers have been the specific racial target of murders for a long time now. According to the Left's own rules, racial targeting of a people is more of a concern than general crime.

There is a large wealth gap in many places. There are some rich people in the deep south and many poor, maybe just steal and redistribute the land to the poor.
Of course, we have a very wealthy 1% in the US while many more people stagnate or lose ground. Maybe we just expropriate their wealth and property.
Poor people want stuff, so they should be allowed to steal, loot and kill people for it. OK then.

They are talking about unused farmland. Whites are 8% of the population yet they own 70% of the land.
