People donate to funds to help cover the cost of travel expenses. Not everyone can afford to pay for those kinds of things.

That is in fact PAYING PEOPLE TO PROTEST! In a true grass roots protest people use their OWN money, they don't get paid to cover anything. Man the flimsy excuses and outright lies coming from the toddlers who got caught with their hand in the cookie jar are astounding.
Unlike Trump who payed people to come to Trump Tower and has ads out for actors for his events.

furthermore, progressive protesters in Ferguson were outraged when they stopped getting paid to protest in Ferguson. There were articles published about that in progressive outlets.

The Dems are FAR worse. They make things up that just are so far out there and their base eats it up. The Dems mantra on just about everything is everyone is gonna die, from abortion, to GW, to environmental regs, to gun laws, to taxes, everything imaginable.

It's amazing isn't it? Leftists are born liars. It's socio and psychopathic.
The issue is constitutionally, should abortion policy be something that is dictated by the federal courts and federal policy, or should the individual states be deciding an issue such as that. Of course, it's the latter and it is an overreach of judicial and federal authority as it stands currently.
Notice how color blind the right wing is now. Not so much when they were looking at Obama.
