I'm not a fan of Bill Maher, but I think he pretty much nailed it.

Trump is an outrageous sort of guy.

You can see why most people do not believe this hype.
In the 1990's Trump's company was in serious financial trouble, and he was a high risk borrower.

One bank that continued to deal with him was Deutsche Bank, which got in big trouble for laundering dirty Russian money.

From the Moscow Project ...

Trump’s connection to Deutsche Bank is particularly notable because the institution has been at the center of schemes to help Russians secretly funnel money offshore, for which it paid “about $630 million in penalties … over a $10 billion Russian money-laundering scheme that involved its Moscow, New York and London branches.”

The Trump Organization was well known to have come to rely on Russians for financial backing after his troubles in the 1990's.

From Business Insider ...

A 2008 quote from President Donald Trump's eldest son about his family's assets resurfaced on Sunday in a New York Times op-ed article.
"In terms of high-end product influx into the US, Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets," Donald Trump Jr. said at a New York real-estate conference that year. "Say, in Dubai, and certainly with our project in SoHo, and anywhere in New York. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia."

I don't see this as an implausible scenario. One way to secure illicit money is to 'sell' an overpriced condo for cash, which seems to be a common practice.

Trump won't be impeached because everyone is afraid of his angry base who would like nothing better than to destroy democracy and set up a theocratic fascist dictatorship. Trump could literally get away with anything and his base, led by right wing media, would find some excuse for it. Our nation is currently de-facto under hostage, being held at gunpoint, by an angry mob that cannot accept that it isn't the 1950s anymore and that we had a black president for eight years. That's the fact of the matter.

Being the top boss of the top law enforcement org in the entire nation has privileges, and being "very much above the law", sadly, is one of them.
Not really. Nixon wasn’t above the law. Why? Because Congress USED to do its job.

The Founders never imagined that the American people would inadvertently elect a king because the legislators they put in Congress were cowed chicken****s.

This is true. For example, he is deeply critical of Islam, and for good reason. Women are not afforded the same rights as men. Why do liberals avert looking at this obvious and glaring example of misogyny and discrimination? Bill Maher does not overlook this. That is only one example. He also is very critical of Hamas and the Palestinian Authority and goes to bat for Israel when the topic arises from time to time.

The man really just sees things from a common sense perspective.

Some of them seriously lack spines. That's why I love Bill Maher. He's never afraid to tell the truth and tackle the harder issues. Even when I don't agree with him I still appreciate his bluntness.

[enjoying the popcorn flag on]
All these interesting conflicting comments - oh my.

Whatever happened to all men are endowed with certain inalienable rights?
Life, liberty, absolute ownership of private property (upon which one can pursue happiness without needing permission)?

Oh, right, 'Murricans surrendered those rights in exchange for gubmint privileges (that came with a high price - mandatory civic duties). Now, they're griping over the burdens that they embraced in their ignorance. LOL.

The remedy is simple : withdraw consent from 'voluntary' socialism (FICA / SocSec), usury (personal banking), and submission to the glorious (but bankrupt) collective State.

Won't that be fun!

Watching Maher melt down is as good as watching the liberals cry at the 16 election. GREAT
