The book, All The President's Men included the story that shortly before his resignation, Nixon asked Kissinger to pray with him in the White House. The book recounted how Nixon and Kissinger got on their knees and prayed.
When the book came out, both Nixon and Kissinger called that passage an outright lie. They each said this on numerous occasions over the years, vehemently calling the story of the knelt prayer in the WH, a lie.
Until they wrote their own books. In each of their biographies, both Nixon and Kissinger said the prayer story was TRUE. Exactly as it was first told in the Woodward and Bernstein book.
Keep this in mind as some current WH employees call BS on the new Woodward book.
