Yet another victim of the War on Drugs and the War on Guns.
Quote:
In December, Krissy Noble shot a man named Dylan Stancoff with her husband's gun when Stancoff forced his way into her Fort Smith, Arkansas, home. Noble was 11 weeks pregnant. The case was sent to the Sebastian County Prosecutor's Office, which determined that the shooting was justified.
But Noble still faces felony gun charges because of a previous drug-related conviction. In 2017, Noble pleaded guilty to felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. (She had been pulled over while riding in a vehicle with friends. Each person in the vehicle received the same charges when no one claimed the items.) She got a five-year suspended sentence, and as part of that was prohibited from either possessing or using firearms
When Stancoff came back and knocked on the door a short time later, Noble opened the door, and he shoved her back inside, according to the report.
Once inside, the man tackled her and began trying to cover her mouth with his hand, which she thought smelled of chemicals, the report states. He then started hitting her in the face with his fist.
After she was able to break free, Noble grabbed a pistol off the coffee table and shot the man three times before running to her neighbor's apartment and telling her to call 911, according to the report.
Noble told police that "she feared not only for her safety but for the safety of her baby, and felt that she had no other option in this situation, according to the report.

Authorities initially ruled the shooting as justified.
But, investigators later found several firearms in Noble and Tran's closet in addition to the .40 caliber handgun used to shoot Stancoff, including a .20 gauge shotgun, a .22 caliber pistol and a bolt action rifle, prosecutor Daniel Shue stated in a press release on Thursday.
Noble is now charged with felony gun possession by a convicted felon and for allegedly possessing firearms between Nov. 7 and Dec. 7, Shue said. A warrant was filed for her arrest on Tuesday, records show.
So basically, this woman was charged with possession of a plant, then exercised her natural right of self-defense to protect herself and her unborn child by using her husband's gun to shoot a potential murderer...and the government wants to lock her up and separate her from her newborn baby.
I suppose it would've been better if she had just let the guy kill her and the fetus...
Gun and weed laws are designed to make felons out of everybody....and grab the guns leaving normally law abiding folks unarmed......the liberal intent from day one......

Well gee, then WHY hasn't the CONservative Congress gotten off its collective duff and changed these laws you allege are accomplishing the "liberal intent"?

What say, C-D peeps?
No where in the 2nd amendment does it require a person be a non-felon. The people that wrote the Constitution were felons to the crown that they just kicked their asses.
A felon is un-personed??? When?
It does not say it is a privilege of Citizens. It is a right of a person, without an age requirement, nor clauses for mental capabilities, or previous violations of law. All people have rights.... Or none do.
Correction--she broke government "law." Possession of a plant is a property right, as protected by natural law. It is not a crime to possess drugs, as there is no victim other than the user.
I suppose she should have just let the intruder murder her and her unborn child, since she "broke the law."
And on average, you (and everyone else) breaks three laws a day.
