That's a very likely scenario. The other factor is that worthwhile centrist candidates want nothing whatsoever to do with politics. Why would they? If they have any intelligence or aptitude, they are far better off staying in industry or business and making some real money, and keeping their integrity while they do it.

Just look back over history, the average families out in the heartland are the people that get screwed at the end of the day. It's because vultures like Trump strong-arm their way to the top, they understand perfectly well how to manipulate an apathetic and dumbed-down electorate.

I would never equate charisma with good leadership. Those who are naturally charismatic often use that skill to fool others into thinking that whatever they say must be true, because they sound so smoooooth when they talk. Look no further than Clinton and Obama to prove that point.

Only the weak minded continue to believe the snake oil salesman.

I have condemned Obama's lies for years.

Ha, what a laugh.

The gov't bailed out the banks, housing bubble, etc. right between he and W. Republicans, unfortunately, and Democrats alike did that. I actually remember that for myself. I was there.

Billions of dollars to Iran, regulations, 10 trillion debt, entitlements, Obamacare, lowest job participation rate, lowest recovery for decades, food stamps, a false low interest rate. Unemployment was so bad that it didn't look as bad as it was because golms just went from the UE line to the welfare line.

Yup, Obama!

Go ahead and pretend if it helps though.

Trump supporters complaining about Obama on the campaign trail, will defend Trump to the bitter end calling it "free speech" when Trump does it after leaving office.

Just like every other thing such as Executive Orders, party line votes, golf, vacations, cost of security, campaigning on taxpayer money, etc. they complain about Obama doing it but when Trump does it, they are completely silent.
History lesson... During Obama's administration, he cited his abysmal economy as being W's fault, now, he cites Trump's rip roaring economy as being his doing.

But there again, y'all speak on both sides your mouths.

The economy sucks! FORD says blah blah blah! Obama did that!

Forked tongue, you folks.

The wealth gap greatly increased in the Obama years. I would think the "right" would love him for this. You not so much but........

"There is nothing more pathetic in life than a former president," President John Quincy Adams once said. That, like all other aspects of the American presidency, has evolved and changed, all due to the decisions made by the people who've held the office.

I recall the many on the left on here ATTACKING Trump for NOT being "presidential" for NOT following "precedents" or 'protocols".

Now ee have obama NOT doing any of those thongs and it will be crickets from the left "attacking" HIM!

Many on the left define "hypocrite"!

You wanted anti-establishment -- there it is.

Folks wanted a new look -- we got it.

With that comes things you may not like or support -- but you can't ask for things to change and then when they do -- say no no no -- no THAT -- just this......

Be careful what you wish for.

you don't want to hear what Obama said -- don't listen.
Obama running his pie-hole will cause the Dems yet more election losses. His divisive, condescending lectures only rile-up the ghettos and a few intellectuals. Amiright?

After the Fall elections, maybe he'll be encouraged to shut the f¿ck up!
