We committed worse acts to the natives than the holocaust, and we continue to commit atrocities to this day. We only stopped experimenting on native school children in the 90s, and we still keep them in excessive poverty. Now we want to destroy what is left.

Every American president should face an international tribunal for these acts and be sentenced to death.
Indian reservations are incubators of SOCIALISM. If it weren't for capitalism introduced in the form of casinos, they would just be living in poverty waiting for their next government check.

It's true and why would it not be for a corporate shill that is being placed because he is for sale. The POS lied under oath multiple times. Did you even watch any of the hearings?

Shhhh!

Give into the fear mongering and cries of genocide around the corner or you are siding with the Russians.

How does the government keep them in poverty?

Many have casino money. Free education. Free college. Free to seek employment anywhere in America. Free to live the old ways on the Rez if they choose.

They believe no one owns the land yet somehow “their” land was stolen.

They are “native” even though they migrated here from Asia.

I’m just really confused.

I'm a little ambivalent on this issue. When the first of the native encounters started happening, it was nothing more than the same, "we like your place and we're taking it" stuff that's been going on since Narmer 5000 years ago.
Ther is no real excuse for what's happened since then however, especially in modern times.
On the other hand, natives killed some of my ancestors, and tried to kill their children. If they had succeeded there would be no Me, so my sympathy is naturally limited.

Will tribes be held accountable for past atrocities towards other tribes?

Genocide, slavery, child slavery, theft of land, etc?

We deprive them of resources, we exploit their land, and we force them to live in a profit based system, while at the same time limiting their rights to labor.

We keep them in poverty, and Casinos weren't an act of kindness.
