I watch Colbert fairly regularly, at least for the opening monologue, if not for the guests. He strikes me as the smartest among the late-night comics, and he's fervently anti-Trump. I'm disappointed that he is often too silly or vulgar for my taste, but he's often very funny and on-target.

Here's the thing... I've never heard Trump say a word about him. Trump has insulted SNL and a bunch of other comics - but I wonder if he's steering clear of Colbert because he has a nervous feeling he can't come out on top.

Are you bored? Who has time to ponder what late night comedians the President watches?

A smart comic wouldn't alienate half of his audience.

I don't want to call the White House. I've heard that Trump starts blathering on the phone and won't let go.

Yes--he is hilarious and very very clever.

Colbert, Kimmel, John Oliver and Jim Jeffries keep me sane while we have a madman in the WH.

And according to their ratings--other do as well.

The comic you describe doesn't exist. Those of us who watch Colbert find him very funny. Try to find a comic that heaps praise on Trump. Go ahead, I'll wait.
