It is not hard to switch. Use DuckDuckGo not Google. You'll notice the ads you see don't know anything about you since they don't track.

Use Brave not Chrome or other big company browsers because they don't track you.

You can also switch from Reddit to Voat.

Try not to use Google at all if you value your privacy. The arrogance of these biased companies can only be countered by switching to their competitors. Most of their technologies have been commoditized by this point and you won't notice the difference. Check em out!

This is what I keep advocating in general for anyone on either side of this discussion.Dont like what one social media company or site in general does? Find more. Bring like minded people.

The hot sites have changed much over the decades that I have been online. It may not be as big at first, but you cant expect things handed to ya.

I don't not see movies because of the politics of the actors. I love Bruce Willis and Ah-nold. That first Damn Yankees CD (you know, with Nugent) is one of my favorite CDs of the 80s. I still love Chick-Fil-A. So, really, I'm fine, but thanks. I did stop using Bing, but that's because I felt like Bono when using t. I couldn't find what I was looking for

They mostly rely on habitualizing users and scale. I understand it's hard to leave Facebook or YouTube since there aren't good alternatives, but search, browser, email have plenty of comparable options from more respectable companies.

What do you use for search and browser? I just like it better not being tracked. When I realized Google was tracking where I went on Maps and selling that to advertisers, it was too much.

I typically use Google. They can track me if they want. I'm very boring. As a photographer, I want people to be able to find me and my work and most people still use Google.

This is a great start. Trump supporters that feel persecuted should take their business to other platforms and quit whining.

I use Safari (with a variety of ad-blockers) as my browser, and StartPage as my search engine.
Also, I have installed F. B. Purity to keep facebook ad-free.
