How is it cultural treason? Explain in detail. One person created this character and story, the descendants have total control over what happens with said character/story. No one else does, the character/story belong to the creator and now, the family, and no one else. They can do with it as they see fit.
Because its being done specifically and solely for the purposes of agitprop - to push multi-culturalism on the very people in whose cultures the character/story/creative product was successively enabled.
That is disgusting. These commies and their revisionist cultural misappropriations. We need to send people like this to re-education camps where they will be put to hard labor while the phrase "Don't steal people's culture" is blared over a loudspeaker.
It’s not going to stop until you can actually name who is doing this to you.
Oh the humanity! The apocalypse is upon us! Head for the hills! A fictional character from children's book has been hijacked and does not even remotely resemble the other fictional character.
Why so irate over a fictional character created by a Swede? Her family owns the rights to the character, they can do with that character as they please.
How does this hurt you in any way?
Yep, because that was the point of the objection, an argument over rights and the right to rewrite the story. Well done. Very discerning.

Proof that it is “being done specifically and solely for the purposes of agitprop”. Again, the people in complete control of the character and story gave their blessing. They have the final say, no one else does, they can do whatever they see fit, at any time. You and Western Culture as a whole have ZERO say as to what happens with that character/story.
Long-term fictional characters evolve. Otherwise no one would keep reading/watching them.
