My point was in response to the claim that hate speech doesn't exist -I say it's always existed, but shouldn't be confused with the debate/division you're referring to.

No I quoted Democrats, "the people of color" vs "white" that's their rhetoric and platform.
Then it doesn't matter if it's called hate speech, or not -the sentiment is there.
Which is my point -the label isn't important, only the sentiment.
I don't think there is any question that one of the tenets of the Democrat platform is Race Huckstering.
They are finished as a party if some of the groups they pander too figure out they aren't "victims" of American society and begin to strive for something better than the Democrat plantation.

Hate speech existed before the era of laws, constitutional amendments and modern definitions -it was the precursor to one clan of cave clan dwellers, exterminating another clan of cave dwellers.
I'm all for hate speech -it's prudent to know who your enemies are.
No it did not exist. It is a DEFINITION of speech some people don't like, that's all. It is wrong to label things like that.
