You may be aware that much has been written about how Trump supporters seem to either avoid all negative information about Trump, or say they don't believe it, or say they don't care - the lies, the mauling of women, the bigotry, the cruelty, the shady wheeling-dealing, etc. People who claim to care about honesty overlook his dishonesty. People who claim to respect the military shrug off his insults about John McCain's service. People who consider themselves good Christians overlook his behavior that is contrary to their values.

But I'm asking because of something that happened to me. We had an attorney general in New York whom, although I didn't know that much about him, I was starting to like. That is, his ideas seemed to align with mine. Then, one morning, I heard a headline on the radio announcing that he was embroiled in an abuse accusation. My immediate reaction was to brush it off with: Yeah, yeah, another fake, contrived scandal. But then a few minutes later, they announced that the accusations stemmed from an article co-written by Jane Mayer. And my respect for Jane Mayer is so great that I knew I had to take it seriously and re-think my stance.

So, I'm curious, what examples are there of people or institutions where your trust in their intelligence, or integrity, or expertise is such that you would step back and re-consider your opinion of Trump? Your senator, your mentor, the Pope, your best friend, your mother, your favorite newscaster?

I compare the minds of Trump supporters, to the way the Egyptian pyramids were secured. At the entrances from the outside, they had heavy, key blocks of stone, that were slid down long chutes. Once in place, they locked out any further access.

Nope. Most pyramids contained lots of valuable items.

Nothing will. He has already followed through with so many of his campaign promises I am a lock in 2020 to vote for him.

Economy is going great, employment is doing great, stock market is doing great, construction is doing great..

...and the democrats have said if elected they would raise taxes and crash it all...and tie up the government with impeachment sludge..not a good campaign ad

Lowest unemployment in 50 years. Economy is booming. Jobs are coming back. New trade deals.

And what do we get from the left? Violence, a fricken horde of invaders coming in from south of the border, and you want to know if I give a single flying fig if Trump did something like....what? WHAT? WHAT has he done? Explain, in detail, with facts, not msm horse crap, actual FACTS that have been determined, that he did something that would make me change my mind about him compared to what the hell I see coming up in mob form?

You don't get it. We didn't elect a choir boy, we know we didn't elect a choir boy, we know he has an ego, we know he's narcissistic...WE. DON'T. CARE. because the Dems don't seem to give one damn about this country anymore.

i would re-consider if:

1. the majority of Big Media started agreeing with Trump's actions instead of "Trump Bad" all the time. i don't trust them.
2. the Pope came out FOR Trump. with the child-rape culture in his religion, i would have to go against that.
3. my dogs started barking while Trump is on TV. right now, they just relax and stare. Rachael Ray gets the barks.

Rational people care about policy. There is nothing Trump could possibly do to affect any rational person's support for him except in combination with the emergence of a candidate who would execute better policies.
