If you can find someone who's actually in favor of illegal immigration, I'd like to know who that is. You do understand that refugees seeking asylum are not "illegal immigrants", don't you?

You’re right, democrats have always been for jailing children at the border, and destroying Latin American countries like republicans.

Both parties have an atrocious record in Latin America, but the partisans don’t care about that.

Yeah? So was I.

Politicians don't necessarily 'LEAD' on social issues of our time. We the People lead and they follow our cue.

After I moved to a bigger city and met more gay men and women - is when I changed my closed little mind. My boss is a wonderful person and he deserves to be happy and get married just like anyone else. So do my co-workers. Friends of my kid. Kids of my friends.

So, yes, people can and do evolve on issues.

Many of the last group of so-called refugees did enter our country illegally and therefore became illegal aliens. I would expect the same from this group unless we can stop them at the border.

They are supposed to seek asylum in the first safe country not continue on and shop for the country with the most freebies.

this bit is what reveals the 'refugee' claim for the farce that it is.

Our immigration plicy hasn't changed for decades, the claim that Obama supported open borders is silly and not based on fact. He did take action on the dreamers who were already here to add some degree of sense to illegal immigration but he was never open borders. Congress did have a bipartisan proposal but Trump rejected it, this is were we have been for decades.

Obama added some degree of sense by implementing DACA and DAPA by EO and without congress' approval along with work permits for them? That makes sense to you?

Trump rejected the bill that would have given the DACAs a pass on our immigration laws because the Democrats wouldn't give him what he wanted and that was the funds to build the wall otherwise he would have gone along with it. Why should the Democrats only get what they wanted?
