Don’t think most evangelicals and fundamentalists consider themselves leftists. I can and do appreciate that their children likely feel excluded if/ when their school engages in Halloween.

Btw, Halloween is HUGE with adults and children s most large metro area, which trend liberal.

$9 Billion is the projected spend this year on costumes, decorations and candy.

Does not sound like Halloween is in any danger of becoming obsolete.

What does Halloween have to do with political ideology?

The greatest opposition comes from evangelicals and fundamentalists. Why should their children be viewed as outsiders in school due to their family’s religion ?

Not all families can afford costumes. Why should their children be viewed as outsiders in school due to their family’s financial circumstances.

Nothing prevents the kids from hitting the pavement for candy, or not doing so, after school.

Honestly, why do we expect public schools to celebrate Halloween. It’s stupid. Do private schools do that?

Who has, in modern times, stopped Americans from celebrating holidays?

The schools in my area celebrate Halloween, even the public ones.

I'm offended by Ramadan and Cinco de mayo. Let's cancel those too. Might as well cancel Christmas and Thanksgiving since they're unfair to turkeys. And let's not forget about the 4th of July. All the anti-American leftists must really hate that one.
