That's BS. Like always the opposition is coming recently and from the leftist diversity peddlers.
At the end of the day, I don't care who the opposition is, they need to buzz off with their diversity crap.
Back in the day kids looked at the people who made a stink on beggars night as weirdos, whether some rare weird white person or a weird foreigner you couldn't understand, and they're still weird.
This thread is clear evidence that some people seem obsessed with politicizing everything.
I'm offended by Ramadan and Cinco de mayo. Let's cancel those too. Might as well cancel Christmas and Thanksgiving since they're unfair to turkeys. And let's not forget about the 4th of July. All the anti-American leftists must really hate that one.
You guys complain about everything with schools. They are just damned if they do or damned if they don’t
I've heard that about some Christians as well, although even the very religious ones I know do not have that mindset. Usually if people are using exclusion to promote inclusion, there is a leftist involved though.
Like Tipper Gore, who tried to stop Rock and Rap, because you know "think of the children".
The Calvinists are not responsible for this! Many school administrations across the United States have decided that Halloween is a distraction from the academic mission with which they are tasked, and that's fine. The kids can still have their celebration with costumes, candy, and mischief after the school day is over.
I attended both parochial and public schools in the 60’s and 70’s. Never attended a school that celebrated Halloween.
My kids attended schools in multiple states. None celebrated Halloween.
My local school does not celebrate Halloween. Does not stop hundreds of kids from trick or treating in my neighborhood. The streets are packed with kids.
I don't know any schools that celebrate Halloween during the school day.
Like, you wear your costume to school that day for some reason? How disruptive would that be?
I do know some schools have "Trunk or Treat" in the parking lot in the evening, where the PTA organizes a tailgate type party and parents serve treats to costumed kids.
But not during the school day.
Same deal on my end.
Many PTA/ PTO’s organize something. In my neck of the woods this is a big weekend for Trunk or Treat.

Yep. Here, too, and yet some foolishly believe that elementary schools are the great arbiters of who, what, where, when, and how Halloween is celebrated in the United States. It's astounding.
Dentists love holidays. The results can be gross, but candy pays their bills.
I know several households with a dentist in residence who give out tooth brushes. One gives kids dental floss.
