Texas won't even institute E_Verify - they could do it tomorrow.
The GOP doesn't want to cut off their low cost labor. No way.
There is no reason (for them) to fix anything because it's perfect just the way it is. They get the cheap labor and they get to pretend they occupy the high moral ground.
Ask them why Texas doesn't do e-verify and you hear crickets. According to OldGlory and such folks, the Repubicans and those on the Right want to do away with undoc workers...despite the proof right in front of their faces that it is a PLUS to Republicans.
Heck, the Bush center writes endless articles on how they support (low cost labor) immigrants. The Kochs are open border advocates and they are the #1 funders of the Right.
