The right to perform or play a song in public is one of the exclusive rights of the copyright holder. You will need to get permission or a license if you play music in public unless the music is in the Public Domain or the use of the music qualifies as fair use.

So public venues like Grocery Stores, Gyms, Restaurants, Shopping Malls aren't allowed to play music that they legally own?
That they do not have the artist's permission to use.

I'm an independent voter and don't attend political events. All I want to say is I can't STAND the guys "music". I enjoy the genre of "heavy metal" but always thought "Guns & roses" was crap.
Maybe "crap" music is appropriate for a "crap" politician?
Why do rich right-wing extremists think siding with blatant lawbreakers and ripping off artists and musicians is a winning strategy?
Because there is growing trend in the last two years to ignore things like laws and the Constitution.
