Well, I guess this is timely. I recently purchased her workout book (her workout is actually fairly tough) and now she starts physically falling apart.

I wish her a speedy recovery. And I wish she would retire. It does not appear that she is physically capable of serving as a Supreme Court justice any longer.

This may be the catalyst that's needed to provide some mechanism for removal of a justice who is no longer capable of serving but who refuses to step down. IIRC, the Constitution does not provide such a mechanism. This is an oversight that needs to be corrected. The Supreme Court is a co-equal branch of the federal government and is too important to have its members incapacitated.

I broke 5 ribs at once during a biking accident 1 year back (4 ribs on one side, 1 on the other). Even though I consider myself fit, strong and in good health for two weeks I could barely get out of bed on my own power. I feel for her, at her advanced age, broken ribs will be incredibly tough to get through.

my grandma was totally sane and lucid then she fell and broke her leg. she was never the same mentally. it was almost like her soul left her body - she was in a constant state of delusion where she didn't know where she was or who you were. she died a few months later. flipped like a switch.

Reported she fell and has some broken ribs. They say this won't stop her from serving.

She is around 85 now.
Listen, plenty of disease in hospitals. Lots can happen. If she falls on dry, flat office floor, with winter and ice she is doomed!

I truly hope she doesn't try to work all drugged up. She needs to focus on recovery and step down. Broken bones when you are old and frail are many times deadly. She doesn't need to be out in public surrounded by people with flu and colds.

A real concern with broken ribs is pneumonia, very risky in the elderly, but I'm sure she is getting the very best of care.

At least we know that if she retires then whoever Trump picks to replace her will be an easy confirmation.

This is sad. No one should have to live like this for their final years, with half the country hoping for your demise and half the country pushing you to continue on with little regard to your own best interests.

She could set a new SC record.
She could be lying in state for several months before its discovered she is actually dead.
The lady has a bright future.
