Pelosi will get through easily.
Moulton will make a quick show of it like his group is prone to do, and then they will fall in line as they should.

Right after you explain how you think the Speaker of the House is elected, including how many votes are needed.

Well. Here's the thing. No one has stepped up to take her place so . . . .

To be honest this is counter productive. Every single Dem running for the House was pelted with 'but they will elect Pelosi ads' and they all still won. Why let you opposition pick who you will elect as leader?

The other issue is she is the only DC politician in the last 15 years who has been willing to whip her own people in line and take all the incoming criticism. The only person who comes close is Trump. Obama chose to 'rise above partisanship' which was simply leaving his party out to dry. Bush did as Rove suggested and at one point they were actually stuck sending Mrs. Bush on the trail to save R behinds. Reed was okay with campaigning but never had the best control on his caucus. Boehner withered. Ryan basically leads from behind.

Facing the one President truly willing to engage on all fronts they need a strong leader and Pelosi is the only one I see. I actually think there is an off chance Pelosi and Trump have a productive relationship simply because she will show strength. He has no respect for weakness.

If Moulton has such a problem with D leadership he might want to rethink being a Dem. And given that he actually endorsed Hillary I cannot see how Pelosi is a bridge to far. It is looking like grandstanding.

When the democrats stop backstabbing each other in the House the lone survivor will emerge to be Speaker of the House. Th first words out of his/her mouth will be "for God's sake someone call an ambulance."

Poll needed a "I hope so" option. I don't know what will happen, but I know it would be great to have some new blood as Speaker. Nope. I don't know who that would be either.

Some Republicans mentioned to vote for her if she agrees to certain conditions. So we would have:
1. Toxic Nancy as speaker
2. Pelosi agreeing to certain GOP demands

THE WINNING NEVER STOPS!!!

I think it'll end up being Pelosi, but it may not be.

Either way, the Democratic House will be giving Trump headaches for the next two years.

....and giving Americans an amusing show--while Trump continues to do the things and make the long-term appointments which have had Democrats tearing out their hair the past two years.

But hey, what a great 2020 Democrat campaign bragging point: We gave Trump headaches for two years!

I think you mean the Speaker's first words will be "Mushroom Donald, let's see those tax returns! Here's a subpoena."

Alright!
