Does anyone else think that this stuff is out of control --- and has been for a long time?
That's great you're going hiking. But why do you care what other people are doing on Black Friday?

I buy stuff on Black Friday because this is how I afford gifts for my family. I'm totally shameless about it, too. I was out at Old Navy this evening. Then I nipped into CVS for a few odds and ends I need. Zero shame, zero guilt and feeling great. The haters can go ahead and hate.

I would see if I could score a good deal, but cannot think of anything I want or need to buy.

If the corporate elite want to destroy Thanksgiving (an American holiday) to promote Christmas (a globalist holiday), more power to them.

That's pretty much the way I see it. This country is headed down the wrong path, and has been for a long time. Thanksgiving for too many is about getting an 'early jump' on Black Friday rather than just relaxing and enjoying the day. Black Friday itself -- crowds, lines, buying more stuff....

I posted this thread to give people something to think about.

And yes, if you like Black Friday then have at it -- I'm not stopping you.

Yes hiking should be banned.

My time is valuable to me, so I am all about convenience, and I am fine with paying more for it.

1. Shopping on Black Friday is the opposite of convenient, so I dont do it.

2. That is not to say that I dont like saving money, so I am fine with buying gifts online on cyber Monday, and I often do. It is convenient.

3. Small business Saturday? I’m indifferent. But I think I support small businesses more than most people, all year round. It is usually more convenient to go to the local small businesses than it is to go to the big box stores, so that I what I usually do, unless they dont have what I need. (See number 1)

I'm giving you my free speech opinion. And I don't care if you don't like it nor do I care if you go out and buy thousands of dollars worth of stuff today.

I have presents to buy. I saved them in my cart on Amazon until today, when the 3 items were down an additional $40., so I pulled the trigger. No time was wasted whatsoever.
