Maybe you have a legitimate source other than RT to support your claim that Ukraine is detaining ships leaving Sevastopol, one of the best kept secrets until your post. I will wait.

Scrat335, they would say that RT is Russian propaganda and they only trust CNN, MSNBC, BBC and other fake news sources. But the funniest thing is that Ukrainians admitted this fact themselves openly. Ukrainian Independent Information Agency of News (UNIAN) reported on 10/30/2018:
https://www.unian.info/society/10318...n-sailors.html
"Ukrainian border guards on March 25 detained the Nord fishing vessel in the Sea of Azov. The vessel, registered in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, was flying the flag of Russia. There were 10 crewmen on board; all had passports of citizens of the Russian Federation. Gorbenko, who is accused of arranging illegal entry of the crew from Russian-occupied Crimea for industrial fishing, faces up to five years in prison. He is charged under Part 1 of Article 249 (illegal fishing) and Part 2 of Article 332-1 (the violation of the procedure for entry and exit from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine."

Even with their propaganda and misinterpretation of all events the one could easily come to conclusion that Ukraine seized a Russian fishing vessel for real before Russia seized Ukrainian military ships which were trying to intrude a russian territory. And that Russian territory had nothing to do with Crimea at all.
It was OK for the western hypocrites and liars when Ukraine illegally seized the Russian fishing boat. But they started their anti-Russia hysterics when Russia arrested the military intruders and provocateurs in the Azov sea. When I hear someone is shouting "Russian aggression, Russian aggression", I know that something's wrong with their brain.

The lunatics in Ukraine have been doing more than detaining fishing vessels. They have done it to other countries (other than Russia) for merely docking in a Crimean port. They're saying that those ships have to request permission from the Ukrainian government to enter Ukrainian territory.

It's legitimate to some interested parties. Parties with an interest in conflict.

I'm surprised Russia hasn't went further and Ukraine doesn't even have riverine patrol boats to put on the Black Sea.

We'll never see this video in the west either.

So, according to your quotations above, the Nord incident took place last March. The Russian seizure of Ukrainian tugboats took place in late November, eight months later. yet you claim the two incidents are connected, and the November Russian action was in retaliation for the Nord incident of March, 2018??

For those unfamiliar with the geography of the Sea of Azov, it empties into the Black Sea through the narrow Kerch Strait, which is now crossed by a Russian-built bridge between Occupied Crimea and the Russian mainland. The north coast of the Sea of Azov is the site of the large industrial seacoast city of Mariupol, whose population is close to half a million. Mariupol is the birthplace and childhood home of some of my relatives.

Mariupol is noted for its steel mills, which make use of the rich resources of Donetsk Oblast (state): iron and coal, in particular. With the Kerch Strait blocked, vessels can no longer leave or reach Mariupol, and the products of the steel mills and other factories cannot be shipped out by sea. That leaves roads and railroads - and meanwhile, Russian backed so-called "separatist" armies are less than twenty miles east of Mariupol.

This "incident" is one of the most serious threats Ukraine has experienced since Russia's illegal occupation and seizure of Crimea. Russia's actions have been condemned by countries around the world as illegal. Those who defend this piratical behavior are no friends to liberty and democracy.

This old song with false notes is just another western misinterpretation. Keep it for your home listening if you like it. But the truth is that Crimeans didn't want to stay with Ukraine anymore. They were more than happy to rejoin with Russia.

Strange that we've not heard from all these Ukrainians in Crimea who suddenly wanted to be part of Russia.

Does this mean that if some who live in Minnesota yearn to be Canadian, that the Canadian army can come down and take over Minnesota?

Ask Hawaii, lol. Anyway;

Well, the better analogy is;

The federal government gives NYC to New Jersey, everyone in NYC is ok with it because they after all, are still part of the US and there is not a degree of difference between being in NY or NJ.

The US breaks apart now all of a sudden NYC finds themselves as part of NJ, but they actually desire to be part of NY because the majority of them are NY'ers.

NJ becomes a hell hole, poor economy, two revolutions, and the special semi-autonomous status NYC enjoyed has been suspended.

A revolt that ousted the president the majority of NYC voted for was the final straw, in comes NY troops with an offer to come back to NY.
